Grace Graupe-Pillard has exhibited her artwork throughout the USA. She has had one-person exhibitions in Hartford, Ct., Jackson, Miss., Chicago, Ill., Newark, NJ., as well as in NYC at Bernice Steinbaum Gallery, Hal Bromm Gallery, Sally Hawkins Gallery, and Klarfeld Perry Gallery. In 2000 her one-person show was at Donahue/SosinskiGallery, NYC where she also exhibited in l997. She has also had one-person shows at The NJ State Museum and The NJ Center for Visual Arts, and been included in group exhibitions at various other Museums including: The Alternative Museum, The Noyes Museum, P.S. 1, Bass Museum, Indianapolis Museum, The Maier Museum, The Aldrich Museum and The Drawing Center.

Ms. Graupe-Pillard has been the recipient of many grants, including three from The New Jersey State Council on the Arts, and one from The National Endowment for the Arts. She has received public art commissions from Shearson Lehman American Express, At&T, Peat Marwick, Wonder Woman Wall at The Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC, The Clinical Academic Building, Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ, and a public work, "Celebrating Orange", a large outdoor sculptural monument commissioned for the city of Orange, NJ which was installed in l996.

Public art projects also include commissions from NJ Transit for their new Hudson Bergen Light Rail Transit System at Garfield Station in Jersey City, and 2nd Street Station in Hoboken, and a just completed artwork for NJ Transits Aberdeen-Matawan Station in Aberdeen, NJ which was installed in the fall of l999.

Grace Graupe-Pillards work has been written about in The Village Voice, The NY Times, Art News, The Star Ledger, The New Art Examiner, Newsday, Flash Art, Art Forum, and a l998 review of her last NYC exhibition in Art in America. Her work has been seen on television on NJNs State of the Arts, Comcast Cable and Manhattan Cable.

From l993-l995, Ms. Graupe-Pillard was appointed as a Visual Arts panelist for The NY State Council On the Arts. In l995, she was chosen to serve on NJ Transits Transit Arts Committee developing a "Master Plan" that set forth guidelines and approaches for the inclusion of art in their new Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Transit System. She also served as one of the Design Team Leaders for 3 of the stations. In l998 Ms. Graupe-Pillard was asked to be on the Design team for the planning of artwork to be placed in the Hoboken 2nd Street Station.
