|  Born in Prairie du Chien, WI on Nov. 3, 1872. "Hal" Gerome moved to California in 1892. He was a resident of Mill Valley, Los Angeles, and the Monterey Peninsula (1914) where he was secretary of the Pacific Grove Board of Trade. He had studios in San Bernardino in 1920 and San Francisco in 1930. | Source:
