Biography from Long Gallery:
Heidi Groonwald began traditional art lessons at the early age of eight years old. After two years at a state university, she transferred to Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design where she received a Bachelor of Fine Art in illustration. Heidi briefly worked as a free lance artist before moving to Arizona.

She also worked for Walt Disney as the main painter on the Universal Theme Park Model. Soon after she moved to Arizona, she studied under Peggi and Ray Roberts and Bob Lemler. She has taken workshops from Ned Jacob, Matt Smith and Mark Daily.

Heidi has been an employee of the Scottsdale Artists' School for over three years and is both student and instructor at the school. Heidi continues to gain acceptance as a serious representational painter, and her collector base continues to grow throughout the United States as well as Europe.
