|  A painter in modernist style, Irean Gordon was born on February 17, 1912 in Illinois. She married Leo Gordon in 1935 and they lived in Chicago where in 1941-42 and 1948 she exhibited at the Art Institute.
Still active in her later years, she died of cancer on May 10, 1982 in Valparaiso, Indiana, two years after her husband's passing.
She is interred at Free Sons Cemetery in Illinois.
