Jeannette Genius McKean (1909-1989)
The founder of the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, she was an accomplished artist, interior designer, businesswoman, civic leader, and philanthropist. A native of Chicago, Jeannette would eventually make her home in Winter Park, Florida, growing to love the town as her grandfather—industrialist Charles Hosmer Morse—had so many years before and continuing his generous tradition of philanthropy.
