"Jim Gary's Twenty-first Century Dinosaurs"
Corbett McCarthy

Artist and sculptor Jim Gary, lived and worked in New Jersey all of his life.  He grew up in Colts Neck and always remained based in central Jersey — but the world became his market.  Jim's work is represented in the collections of corporate, institutional, and private collectors.  Jim Gary’s last exhibit was held in Manasquan, New Jersey.  The owner of the exhibit states—“This was one of Jim Gary’s most important exhibits, it was his final statement to all those supposed friends who abandoned him following his failed health over the prior four years of his life---“I’m back he stated to Corbett with a glee in his eye’s”---now they can tear up the markers they forced me to sign for sums as little as $75.00 each---I’m on my way again, thanks —you made it all possible”

Jim Gary's work has been featured on television programs — among them Walter Cronkite documentary, Dinosaur! many public broadcasting programs, the Discovery Channel, CBS's special on dinosaurs which was hosted by Christopher Reeves, Real People, The Today Show, New York Views, Good Morning America, Prime Time, That's Incredible, CNN News, The Electric Company, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, the California Academy of Sciences, and the Discovery Channel, To Tell the Truth and a soon to be released documentary produced by Tycoon Art Gallery.

Exhibitions, National and International:
From the Smithsonian Institution and the National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C.; the National Academy of Design and the Sculpture League in New York City; the Philadelphia Academy of Arts and Sciences; the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh; — to major museums in Staten Island, New Brunswick, Newark, Rochester, Princeton, Greenwich, Boston, Charleston, Memphis, Tallahassee, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Detroit, Saint Louis, Birmingham, Denver, Amarillo, Phoenix, the Field Museum in Chicago- Flagstaff, Seattle, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco----Solo exhibitions of Jim Gary's sculpture have been given in all regions of the United States.

Internationally, artist Jim Gary's has traveled around the world, as far away as, China, Japan and Australia, where his solo exhibitions have toured throughout those nations, often for as long as nine months after openings in the capitol.
