| Joe Giella was born June 27, 1928, in Manhattan. As a teenager, his imagination was fueled by the newspaper strips and comic books of the time. At age 17, Joe broke into comic books inking one story for Hillman Publications, and then inking for the Beck-Costanza studio on Fawcett Publications’ Captain Marvel series. In 1947, Joe became a staff inker for Timely Comics (now known as Marvel), working primarily on humor and teenage comics, though he also did some adventure work.&nb (showing 500 of 1247 characters). |
