Joseph J. Greenberg, Jr. (1915-1991)
Joseph J. Greenberg was born in Philadelphia in 1915. He studied engineering at MIT for a year after which he transferred to Tyler School of Art of Temple University where he majored in sculpture.
In 1949 the artist went to Italy to further his studies. There he had a solo show in Rome and exhibited in the XXVI Venice Biennale. In 1951, Greenberg was a winner of the $1,000 prize from the Metropolitan Museum of Art Nation (showing 500 of 1441 characters). |
