This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in Rocky Neck, Massachusetts, Judith Goetemann became a watercolorist and batik-on-silk artist known for her lush outdoor scenes, especially gardens. She and her artist husband, Gordon Goetemann, have his and her studios at Rocky Neck near Gloucester, having returned there from a time when Gordon was an art professor in Minnesota.
Her studio, with dye baths set in the counters for batiking has an open view to the cove on one side and a hillside of gardened cottages on the other side.
