Born in France on July 5, 1842. Godart settled in San Francisco in 1872. He died there on March 18, 1917. His works include still lifes and scenes of the City. Member: SFAA; SF Guild of Arts & Crafts. Exh: SFAA, 1872-94; Mechanics' Inst. (SF), 1886. In: Bohemian Club.
