Karl Gatermann the Elder (1883-1959) German landscape artist.
He was born 1883 in Mölln, Germany and since 1918 he lived in Lübeck. Gatermann died in Ratzeburg in 1959. He painted a lot of city views of places like Lübeck, Mölln and Ratzeburg. His style varies from impressionism to plein air and even some times to an expressionist style.
