A painter of brilliantly colored landscapes and still lifes, sculptor, and teacher, Carl Graf was the first president of the Brown County Indiana Art Association formed in 1926.
He studied at the Herron Art Institute with William Forsyth and then at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and the Art Students League.
He died in 1947 in Indianapolis.
