Having worked for many years as a restorer, she does Old Master style painting that closely resembles the originals. Although she employs her technical skills to re-create Old Master paintings, she usually slips in something sly, startling or humorous such as a highly ornate animal rights tattoo on the barely covered chest of Leonardo da Vinci's "Lady With An Ermine."
She earned a BFA degree from the City College of New York and in the 1960s apprenticed in Rome as an art restorer. She was (showing 500 of 848 characters). |
