This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Having worked for many years as a restorer, she does Old Master style painting that closely resembles the originals. Although she employs her technical skills to re-create Old Master paintings, she usually slips in something sly, startling or humorous such as a highly ornate animal rights tattoo on the barely covered chest of Leonardo da Vinci's "Lady With An Ermine."

She earned a BFA degree from the City College of New York and in the 1960s apprenticed in Rome as an art restorer. She was later a conservator at the Capodimonte Museum in Naples, Italy and has restored paintings from New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, Madrid's Prado Museum, and other important collections.

She is a teacher at the School of Visual Arts in New York. In Boston in January 1998, she had an exhibition of her work at the Bernard Toale Gallery.
