An artist born in Virginia and based in Atlanta, Georgia, Kojo Griffin
does narrative paintings and drawings that express the interdependency
of people's actions, and the consequences when people fail to
understand the potential results of their actions. Many of his
figures seem surreal and often are hybrids of humans and animals such
as having heads of large birds or elephants and bodies of men and women.
Griffin's work was included in the 2000 Whitney Biennial at the Whit (showing 500 of 1073 characters). |
