| Born in Nova Scotia in 1885. Lora Hyde studied with Xavier Martinez at the CCAC in 1909. After her marriage to artist Clarence Gihon, she studied in Paris with Laurens at Académie Julian and was active there for many years. Working in watercolor and oil, she painted portraits, still lifes, and landscapes. Exh: Paris Salons, 1911-30.
