| A Cleveland–born painter, Lawrence W. Grant was a painter who was
active at the Provincetown, Massachusetts Art Colony. He studied
with William Merritt Chase in New York, and with Jean-Paul Laurens and
Jules Lefebvre in Paris. He was also a member of the Salmagundi
Club in New York City.
