Expressionist painter Leigh Gusterson paints the scenery of New Mexico capturing the shapes and spaces in bright colors.
Gusterson was born and raised in Oakland, New Jersey. In high school she rebelled against her structured and restrictive home life. Her high school art teacher guided her and convinced her parents that art could be a viable career. She enrolled in the Moore College of Art in Philadelphia though she quit after a year discouraged by the schools emphasis on abstract art a (showing 500 of 1519 characters). |
