Lillie Garretson (1859-1939)
The Garretson Twins, as they were affectionately known by their host of friends, were born in Logan, Ohio, October 3, 1859. Educated in the Detroit Public schools, Lillie and her sister Della (Dillie), always studied and worked together, first in Detroit and later, about 1892, in Dexter.
The sisters went to Belgium and France in 1900 to study and to paint. Settling back home in Michigan, both she and her sister were regu (showing 500 of 1101 characters). |
