Linda Ganjian was born in 1970 in Brighton, Massachusetts, and raised in the suburbs of Boston. She moved to New York state to attend Bard College in 1988 where she majored in painting. Since moving to New York City in 1992, she has moved into the realm of sculpture and installation, which remains her main focus, though she has embarked on other projects using video, drawing, and photography. She attended Hunter College, City University of New York, earning her MFA in 1998.
