The following, submitted November 2005, is from Jane Hanson, daughter of the artist.
Lucien Green was born on September 3, 1913 to Lucien K. Green, Sr.
and Minnie Dell (Moulton) Green. He had two sisters and one
brother. "Loosh" learned to carve and work with wood at a
very early age to make toys for himself.
Not only was he a wood carver, he also built five sailboats--one on the
third story of a building on Main Street in Rockland,
