This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| A resident of New Mexico, Lynn Garlick is a landscape and still life painter who studied wood design and fiber in art school but began painting with oils when she moved to the Southwest from North Carolina in the mid 1970s. When her son was born she switched to pastel painting because it was tidier than working with oils, and then the medium became a passion for her.
She does a lot of plein-air painting and is especially interested in depicting light and color, especially of dramatic skies.
