Marsha Gertenbach-Butman was born in Denver, Colorado. She attended UCLA and Otis Parsons School of Design. As a multitalented artist, she focuses most her work on the human figure, although she also works in
steel and recently completed a large steel sculpture for The San Diego County Parks Department, which is now installed in Wilderness Gardens in North San Diego County.
