Born in San Francisco, CA on March 9, 1898, the daughter of artist William Gerstle. Miriam studied at the CSFA and ASL in NYC. She later continued her art studies in Paris at Académies Julian and Grand Chaumière. She began exhibiting in San Francisco in 1915 and from that time on her work was shown regularly in both San Francisco and London.
From 1920 she was a resident of London, England where she married architect Grey Wornum in 1923 (His name was George Grey Wornum but (showing 500 of 1279 characters). |
