From New Orleans, Mitchell Gaudet creates glass-based abstract
sculpture and within these works combines other materials such as
pewter and steel and materials he has found at yard sales and fela
markets. He does some glass blowing and is also a glass caster,
one who ladles molten glass from the furnace into a mold. He
likes to do work that is a bit 'funky' and 'zazzy' and that has some
story-telling aspects to it.
He has an MFA from Tulane University (1990) and a BF (showing 500 of 814 characters). |
