Quince Rudolph Galloway was born on August 16, 1912 in Alma,
Arkansas. He was known for his realist, and sometimes
impressionist, landscape, portrait and still life works.
Galloway
attended college in Arkansas. He moved to Oakland, California in
1931 where he studied art at the Fox-Morgan School. Soon after
his move to Oakland, he married fellow artist Janice Webster and
settled in nearby San Leandro.
