Raymond Michael Grant III (R. Grant) was born in Brooklyn, New York on August 9, 1962. At the age of eleven, he was quickly recognized by his art teacher, Donna McManus, as an art prodigy. At thirteen, he attended the Pratt
Institute in Brooklyn, where he was one of the youngest artist/scholars to have enrolled.
He stopped painting and drawing all together when he was seventeen to join the U.S. Marine Corps just to get out of Brooklyn. It was almost four years before he would have the (showing 500 of 1271 characters). |
