Biography synopsis
Regina Seiden Goldberg began studying art at the Art Association of Montreal with Edmond Dyonnet, William Brymner and Maurice Cullen from 1914-1918 and continued at the Acadèmie Julian in Paris, France in 1921. Goldberg exhibited with the Royal Canadian Academy in 1916, 1918-1920, 1922-1925 and in 1927. She also showed with the Art Association of Montreal in 1915-1921, 1923-1926, 1928 and 1930.

Goldberg traveled throughout these years, and in addition to studying in France, went to Italy. She married Eric Goldberg, also a painter, in 1926.  The artist was a member of the Beaver Hall Group. Her preferred media was watercolour and oil, and her work most commonly represented the human figure in portraits and nudes.

The National Gallery has three artworks by Goldberg in its collection, one of which, Dora (c. 1923), was shown at the Musée de Paume in Paris, 1927, as part of a Canadian Art exhibition.
