This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Rhea Gary paints the dramatic Louisiana wetlands with a warm palette in an expressionist style that she first learned in her studies with Wolf Kahn.
Gary's appreciation of the wetlands moved her to become a conservationalist. In 2003 Rhea Gary teamed with naturalist and wildlife photographer C.C. Lockwood to launch "Marsh Mission" an educational project complete with art exhibition, website and book that educates the public about Louisiana's disappearing coastal wetlands.
