Robert Greene was born in New York City on February 3, 1953, and grew up on the north shore of Long Island, a landscape whose lawns, tall trees and old houses he was later to evoke and transform in some of his paintings. He studied at Syracuse University at the College of Visual and Performing Arts, and graduated from the Art School of Pratt Institute, New York.
His first one-person show in New York was at the Tracey Garet Gallery in the East Village in 1984. In 1985, Robert Miller Galle (showing 500 of 960 characters). |
