From Canada, Rodney Graham is a conceptual artist who explores various
modes of perception, especially themes of location and
dislocation. For instance he has arranged large-scale photographs
upside down or created a video installaton of bicycles in a Berlin park
on an unrelenting repetitive loop---set to rock music. He
deliberately has avoided learning traditional art techniques or much
art history because he seeks new interpretations of his world.
