Russell Davis Green was born in Traer, Iowa on December 29, 1910. He studied art at Iowa State College and the Art Institute of Chicago. He worked in the Illinois WPA in the 1930’s, and the GSA lists two of his woodcuts from the WPA in the Art Institute of Chicago and other museums.
He was also an accomplished lithographer and exhibited his work in the AIC Fifth Annual Convention in 1935. He also showed at the Philadelphia Art Alliance; Radio City, NY; Museum of Modern A (showing 500 of 844 characters). |
