| Born in Lebanon, OH on July 22, 1889. As a young girl, Sadie took painting lessons in Lebanon from Lida McKay. After her marriage in 1907 to Charles H. Greathouse, the couple homesteaded in New Mexico. They moved to California in 1922 and lived for eight years in Huntington Beach. During this period she was active with the Laguna Beach Art Ass'n and studied with Anna Hills under whom she acquired a solid foundation for her artwork.
