| Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Sante Graziani graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1940. He later attended the Yale University School of Art and Architecture, earning a BFA in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, preparing medical drawings and surgical illustrations. He did numerous mural commissions in public buildings in Massachusetts and the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. In 1962, he abandoned his rather surreal depictions and began incorporating images from famous paintings of the (showing 500 of 1753 characters). |
