A sculptor, teacher, art writer and scholar specializing in
the Romanian sculptor, Constantin Brancusi, Sidney Geist lived to age
91 and was based in New York City. As a sculptor, he was not tied to any particular movement or
style but drew inspiration from various cultures including American
Indian art and the work of Picasso, David Smith and Brancusi.
Geist was born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey and then
