| Stella M. Gammon was born in Pasadena, CA on June 25, 1895. Gammon earned her B.A. degree at Pomona College, M.A degree at Columbia University, and with Anna Hills, Charles Reiffel, and Orrin White.
For 40 years she taught in the Pasadena public schools and lectured on art appreciation. A spinster and lifelong resident of her native city, she died on May 10, 1990.

Works held in public places: Pomona College Alumni Office.
