| Stephen A. Geitz was born in Wisconsin on Feb. 26, 1892. Geitz was a policeman while in Detroit in 1930. By 1940 he had settled in Los Angeles and died there on May 3, 1972.
A shipping clerk, he painted in his leisure. His works include landscapes of the desert around Palm Springs.
