The following, submitted May 2005, is from the artist.
Susan Goetz grew up studying still life painting with her father Richard V. Goetz and figure painting and drawing with her mother, Edith Day Goetz. Today her canvasses combine her long-standing interest in still-life painting with an equally avid concern for portrait and figurative work.
Her studies continued in New York City at the Art Students League where her teachers included Frank Mason, protégé of Frank Vincent Dumond (showing 500 of 2832 characters). |
