Suzi Gablik (b. 1934)
Born in New York City in 1934, she attented Black Mountain College in 1951. She then studied with Robert Motherwell, a major figure in the American Abstract Expressionist Movement and former Professor at BMC.
She received her B.A. at Hunter College in 1955.
Early in her career she worked primarily as a painter and visual artist, having her first solo show in 1966.
