| | Born in Macon County, MO on Feb. 1, 1903. Thelma grew up in Wyoming and was first taught to paint by her mother Alzada Adams. The Adams family settled in San Diego in 1920. After Thelma's marriage in 1929 to John H. Geife, she remained in the area until her demise in Chula Vista on Feb. 4, 1998. A pupil of Maurice Braun, his influence is seen in her landscapes.
