| Born Great Bend, Oct. 30, 1877; d. Colorado Springs, CO, 1964/65. Painter, specialized in flowers and landscapes. Daughter of a noted Kansas pioneer and Civil War veteran who founded the resort community of Cascade, CO. She attended Cutler Academy, studied with Louis Soulter, and earned her BA in Latin from Colorado College in 1899. She taught English and Latin at Colorado College then moved to New York to study at the Art Students League, and the New York School of Art. Pupil of William M (showing 500 of 1082 characters). |
