Adolph Heinze, born in Chicago in 1887, studied landscape painting under Karl Buehr and later was a student of William Merritt Chase. He was a member of the All-Illinois Fine Artists Association, Chicago Palette and Sculptors, and Chicago Gallery Association, where he exhibited in 1927. Heinze also exhibited at the Municipal Art League.
Heinze’s work caught the attention of Louis W. Hill, President of the Great Northern Railway, and in 1928, Hill instructed the Great Northern Advertis (showing 500 of 3043 characters). |
