This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Anamario Hernandez is a native of Mexico, but currently makes her home in Bethesda, Maryland where she lives with her husband and five children. A self-taught artist, Hernandez paints oil on linen and watercolors as well as prints and etchings.
In her still-life paintings the artist seeks to express metaphors for people and places in her past. Every object in her paintings is meant to evoke a spirit, a memory or a dream. Although there is an influence of her Mexican roots in her work her paintings and prints are not intended to be "Mexican."
