| | Born in San Francisco, CA on July 22, 1909. Heyneman studied art at the CSFA, UC Berkeley, and in Paris and Vienna. The children’s books she authored and illustrated include Cock Robin, William Wigglewhistle, and Whosit Book . Anne became Mrs. Hugh Kappel in 1941 and lived in New York until returning to California in 1955. She died in Berkeley on Oct. 26, 1968.
