Augustine Haugland (1891-1964)
Born in Bergen, Norway, he studied at the Art Students League, Pratt Institute, and the Metropolitan Museum Art School, all in New York City.
In Tacoma, Washington, he taught at the Tacoma Art Center. Later, he had a small art school in his home. He was a master oil painter, watercolorist, and superb with graphite drawing. He was excellent in ceramics, creating his own molds and figurines. He developed a children's storybook called (showing 500 of 795 characters). |
