Cecil Higgs (1900 Thaba, Orange Free State, South Africa– 1986)
She studied art at the Grahamstown School of Art (1919), Byam Shaw and Goldsmiths Schools of Art, and the Royal Academy in London. She later studied under André Lhote in Paris, and worked in various Paris Studios until 1931, when she returned to South Africa.
