|  Born in Chicago, Illinois on Nov. 11, 1887, Christiana married artist Carl Hoerman in 1907. After settling on a farm in Saugatuck, Michigan in 1920, she took up painting and specialized in floral still lifes.
Winters were spent in southern California with homes in Riverside and Palm Springs.
She died in Saugatuck in October 1986.
