| Claire Healey Hartley (1876-1962)
Painter. Born in Ontario, Canada on November 1, 1876. Claire was the wife of attorney Clifford C. Hartley and by 1920 was teaching in the public schools of Los Angeles. She died in Laguna Beach, CA on November 14, 1962. Her paintings include seascapes, landscapes, and scenes from her world travels.
