Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:
Painter, teacher.  Born in Boise, Idaho on July 31, 1897. Following graduation from Boise High School, Hart studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and University of Washington.  During the teens she opened a studio in Boise and spent one year in Paris at Académie Delecluse.  For two years she taught art in the schools of Tulsa, OK. Summers during the 1920s were often spent in California on the Monterey Peninsula. While a resident of Carmel, Hart was a pupil of Pedro Lemos in Palo Alto.

Returning to Boise in the 1930s, she managed the art department at Mode Ltd, founded the local art association (1933), and married Vern Farrer (1941).  Mrs. Farrer was a resident of Boise and highly respected as an artist and preservationist of things historic until her demise on Sept. 13, 1991.

Exh: Nat'l Exchange of American Art (NYC), 1937.
