| | Born in Louisville, KY on Sept. 25, 1896. Cyria Allen obtained a B.A. degree from UC Berkeley and continued at the CSFA and ASL of NYC. She spent 12 years in England, South Africa, and Australia until the threat of WWII. She then moved to southern California and settled in Palm Desert where her husband Randall Henderson was editor of the Desert Magazine.
