Daisy Marguerite Hughes was born in Los Angeles, California in 1882. An Impressionist painter, she studied with Rudolph Schaefer, L.E.G. MacLeod, C.P. Townsley, George Elmer Browne and Ralph Johonnot.
She was a member of the American Federation of Arts, Washington, D.C.; National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors, New York City; Allied Artists of America, New York City; Provincetown Art Association, Massachusetts; California Watercolor Society, Los Angeles; and California Art C (showing 500 of 2882 characters). |
